Multi-Purpose Crochet Blanket, Curtain or Table Cloth





SKILLS LEVEL:
Easy

MATERIALS:
Baguio Yarns (1 ball each)

Size 5.0mm Crochet Hook

MEASUREMENT:
Approximately 64" wide x 58" long

NOTE:
To change color, work last stitch of old color to last yarn over. Yarn over with new color and draw through all loops on hook to complete stitch. Fasten off old color and continue working with new color.

Easy Slouch Beanie


Level: Easy

Materials: 4-5 Shade 99 18g earch Monaco Acrylic Yarn
                   Size J Hook

ABBREVIATIONS:

yo - yarn over
ch - chain
dc - double crochet
sl st - slitch stitch
sc - single crochet


Stitch Note:
DECREASE: Yo, pull up loop, yo, pull through two loops, yo, pull up loop in the next stich, yo, pull though two loops, yo, pull through all remaining loops.


Ch 3 and sl st in first stich to form a ring.

Round 1: Ch 3 (turning chain counts as first dc here & thoughout), dc in center of ring 11 times (12 total). Join with sl stich in turning chain.

Round 2: Ch 3, dc in same space (increase made), 2 dc in each stitch around ending with sl st in turning chain.

Round 3: Ch 3, *2 dc in next space, 1 dc in next space*, continue from * to * ending with sl st in turning chain.

Round 4: Ch 3, 1 dc in next space, *2 dc in next space, 1 dc in next 2 spaces*, continue from * to * ending with sl st in turning chain.

Round 5: Ch 3, 1 dc in next 2 spaces, *2 dc in next space, 1 dc in next 3 spaces*, continue from * to * ending with sl st in turning chain.

Round 6: Ch 3, 1 dc in next 3 spaces, *2 dc in next space, 1 dc in next 4 spaces*, continue from * to * ending with sl st in turning chain.

Round 13: Ch 3, 1 dc in next 3 spaces, *dc decrease in next 2 stitches, 1 dc in next 4 spaces*, continue from * to * ending with sl st in turning chain.

MODIFICATIONS:

- You can make this hat "slouchier" by increasing the number of rows you work even.
- You make smaller (child) size, work up to row (or 7), then work even 2 rounds. Then work work rows 12 (or 13).

Since this is my first post for this blog, i’m sharing this free pattern i originally made.

STITCH GLOSSARY

FPDC (Front Post Double Crochet)
Yo, insert hook from front to back to front again around post of st, yo and draw up a loop, (yo and draw through 2 loops on hook) twice

BERET
ch 4, join with a sl st to form a ring.
Rnd1: Ch 3 (counts as 1 dc), 10 dc’s in ring, join with a sl st in top of beg ch-3 – 11 dc.
Rnd2: Ch 3 (counts as 1 hdc), hdc in same st, 2 hdc’s in each dc around, join with sl st in top of beg of ch-3 – 22 hdc’s.
Rnd3: Rep Rnd 2, dc instead of hdc in this round – 44dc’s
at the end of this round, i will stop the counting since it will be more confusing. just follow your st. it’s okay to make mistakes, you can always correct them.
Rnd4: Ch 3 *FPDC on the next dc, dc on the next st, skip 1 dc, rep from *, join with sl st in top of beg og ch-3
Rnd5: Ch 3 (counts as 1 dc) dc on the same st, *FPDC on next dc, dc on the next 2 st, rep from *, join with a sl st in top of beg of ch-3.
Rnd6: Ch 3 (counts as 1 dc) dc on the same st, dc on the next st, * FPDC on the next dc, dc on the same st, dc on the next 2 st, rep from *, join with sl st in top of beg of ch-3 – (3 dc’s between FPDC)

don’t mind the pattern. just skip one space after a dc and just keep in mind that 1 FPDC is between a dc
TIP: FPDC in line with the previous FPDC of the previous round.
Rnd 13, 14, 15: Rep procedure in rnd12 until there’s only 2 dc in between 2 FPDC.
Rnd 16, 17, 18, 19: Ch 1 (counts as 1 sc) sc around each st, join with a sl st in beg of ch 1. Fasten off.
